Vejnaly is a 300 square kilometre Contract Area located in the Zangilan district in southwest Azerbaijan. It borders Iran to the south and Armenia to the west and hosts the Vejnaly deposit.

The Vejnaly deposit is located in the Zangilan district of southwestern Azerbaijan. There has been some mining carried out at the deposit during the Armenian occupation but this has now stopped.

The region has been secured by the Government of Azerbaijan and Anglo Asian now has access and is establishing operations at the mine site. Ore stockpiled at Vejnaly was transported to Gedabek and processed in December 2021. Anglo Asian is currently carrying out a technical study to determine whether it is economic to recommence mining from the existing underground mine.
